Hotel Beachfront Hokitika

The Driftwood rooms are clean and tidy but basic. They are within the main hotel building. all are ensuite with shower and televisions. some have a view to the ocean but not all. A small restaurant serving local and international dishes. There is also a pub at the front of the complex an excellent place to meet some of the true locals. A low rise building of two storeys The lobby is within the main hotel block and is small but functional. The Driftwood rooms are good budget rooms ideal for independent travellers and small groups. A moments walk to all the retail and restaurants of the town. Hokitika is famous for its Pounamu (greenstone or Jade) and the Maori carving of this stone into very attractive souvenirs. SE0910
